We also recognize that there is more to the education profession than what happens in the classroom. To that end, we have organized the following events and workshops for our members. New and Interested Members’ Orientation (Workshop I)
From 4:30 - 6:30 p.m., located at the NEARI office at 99 Bald Hill Road, Cranston – Presentations will include money-saving members benefits, legal issues in the classroom, NEARI committees, and more. NEARI 5K Run/Walk for the Children’s Fund

Learning First Alliance Workshop
The Learning First Alliance, of which NEARI is a member, will hold a conference featuring Dennis Van Roekel, NEA national President, as keynote speaker. Further info. should be posted on www.NEARI.org.

Annual Children’s Fund Dinner and Auction

January 23-25 - Annual NEA Northeast Regional Leadership Conference
Every year, the NEA offers leadership weekend conferences in every region of the country. Information about workshops offered in the Northeast, registration, and partial funding from NEARI can be found at www.NEARI.org and www.NEA.org. I-Plan credits available.

NEARI Annual Read Across America Event
From 9 – 4 p.m. at the Warwick Mall. Educators from all over the state put examples of student work on display for the public as RI personalities read their favorite stories to children live on stage!
